Lauren Russell

Owner/Head Coach

I bring over 17 years of experience in CrossFit, coaching, and competitive training, with a deep focus on athlete development, movement quality, and long-term fitness.

I discovered CrossFit at 19 while working as a personal trainer and began coaching in 2011, earning my CrossFit Level 1 shortly after. Over the years, I competed across CrossFit, powerlifting, and Olympic lifting, and trained under some of the most respected coaches in the industry. Those experiences shaped my disciplined, well-rounded approach to coaching and programming.

For the past 12 years, I built and led CardioFit at the YMCA from the ground up—programming for athletes of all levels while mentoring and developing coaches.

In 2025, I earned my CrossFit Trainer (Level 3) credential. My goal is to continue advancing my education within CrossFit as far as possible, and to hold myself—and my gym—to the highest standards. I believe great gyms are built on knowledgeable coaches, intentional programming, and a commitment to doing things the right way.

My greatest passions are intentional programming and coach development, ensuring every class delivers purpose, consistency, and long-term results for our members.
