Sam grew up in Central Massachusetts playing sports every season of the year. In middle school, he found his passion in the game of tennis and trained all year round to compete at the highest levels eventually playing the first singles/doubles spot in college. During the summertime, he would lifeguard, teach YMCA and Red Cross Swim lessons, and train/certify Red Cross lifeguards all over the Blackstone Valley Area. He later started“Sam’s Swim Lessons” with the help of his mother Phyllis and Brother Luke and travels Northeast every summer to teach young children to swim.

Sam began CrossFit in 2019 under the direction of his brother Luke and received his CF - L1 Trainer certification in September 2021 and will be taking the CF – L2 course this February. He has coached at a couple of gyms in the Kentuckiana area, is a seasonal coach at Meade Family Fitness in Mendon, MA, and is excited to coach at Vanguard CrossFit. One of his favorite parts of CrossFitting is the community and family aspect. He loves that almost every member of his family crossfits daily and loves working out with his Vanguard Crossfit Family at the 9:00 AM class. When he is not CrossFitting, Sam is the String Program Director at the Oldham County Schools Art Center in Crestwood, KY and teaches violin/viola lessons at his private studio in Lyndon, KY.
